Consumers can now try on AI glasses jointly developed by Oakley and Meta in an offline setting. Musinsa said on Thursday it will run an "Oakley Meta" pop-up store at "Musinsa Store Seongsu" in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong for two weeks from June 4 to 18.
Oakley Meta was first unveiled in South Korea on May 25 through Musinsa Drop, Musinsa’s special release service. The pop-up was designed to let consumers experience the product in an offline space after it was available only online during the drop.
The pop-up lets visitors try both the "Oakley Meta Vanguard" sports lineup and the "Oakley Meta HSTN" everyday lineup. Vanguard offers real-time workout data linked with Garmin devices and Strava, 122-degree ultra-wide-angle 3K UHD hands-free recording, and IP67-rated water and dust resistance. HSTN supports Meta AI interaction via voice commands, open-ear speakers, up to 48 hours of battery life and prescription lens installation.
An Oakley official said, "With the launch of Oakley Meta performance AI glasses, we aim to further expand the brand experience." The official added, "Oakley will continue to strengthen its connection with consumers through various attempts that combine sports, lifestyle and technology."
A Musinsa official said, "We prepared an experiential pop-up where customers can directly touch and experience the outstanding technology and style of Oakley Meta, which drew strong interest through Musinsa Drop last month." The official added, "Through this Musinsa Store Seongsu pop-up, we hope more consumers will directly experience the differentiated convenience and innovative lifestyle delivered by next-generation tech wearables."
