Korbit changes company name to DigitalX, service name to be revamped later
DigitalX Co Ltd, which operates Korbit, said it has completed registration of a corporate name change effective Aug. 11. The former corporate name was Korbit Co Ltd. The change applies only to the corporate entity, and the Korbit name used on the app, website and customer communications will remain for now. It said service operations, asset custody and personal data processing will stay the same. The company plans to change the exchange service name later but has not disclosed timing or the new name. It also warned users about phishing attempts.

Bithumb launches customer asset protection campaign, upgrades security system
Bithumb said on Thursday it will run a customer asset protection and security reinforcement campaign to promote a safer trading environment. The campaign focuses on explaining its asset custody policy and security response system, while sharing steps users can take. Bithumb said it stores assets in offline cold wallets at a higher-than-required ratio and uses MPC-based distributed signatures. It also strengthens internal controls for asset transfers and advises users to enable two-channel authentication.

Bithumb unveils AI voice phishing prevention campaign
Bithumb is running a security campaign to guide users on preventing new financial scams that abuse artificial intelligence. The content includes tips to prevent losses from deepvoice and deepfake-based voice phishing, and warns of growing impersonation attempts targeting digital asset investors through remote-control app installs, OTP sharing and wallet transfers.
