Cloudflare to acquire Deno founded by Node.js developer

Cloudflare will acquire Deno, a company co-founded by Node.js developer Ryan Dahl (라이언 달), TheNewsStack reported on Oct. 9 local time. Under the deal, the entire Deno team will join Cloudflare. Deno will discontinue its own runtime and cloud hosting service, and its engineers will focus on Cloudflare’s serverless computing platform Workers. Financial terms were not disclosed. Cloudflare plans to integrate Deno’s open-source project Seld into its open-source runtime Workerd.

ThreatBook acquires AI penetration-testing platform CyberStrikeAI

Security company ThreatBook has acquired CyberStrikeAI, an open-source AI penetration-testing platform. CyberStrikeAI has received more than 6,600 stars on GitHub and has been deployed on more than 2,300 networks since it was released in late 2025, SecurityBrief reported. ThreatBook plans to keep releasing the open-source version and introduce a new enterprise version for corporate security teams. It will integrate the tool into red-team work to help companies find weaknesses in controlled environments.

Microsoft joins decision-focused AI model race with Microsoft-Decision-1

Microsoft has unveiled Microsoft-Decision-1, an AI model designed for fast decision-making that outputs structured results software can use directly. The model handles yes-or-no, multiple-choice and scoring requests and provides probability scores for each option. Microsoft trained it on the open-source Qwen3.5-9B model and plans versions based on its MAI model and OpenAI models. It cited internal use cases showing faster performance and lower costs versus GPT models.
