XRP rally tops top 100 cryptocurrencies by gains

XRP surged as much as about 24 percent on Aug. 20, the biggest gain among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market value. It climbed to about $1.26 and was up about 31 percent over seven days. XRP’s rise outpaced other major altcoins. With a market value of about $79.15 billion, it ranked fifth among cryptocurrencies, with about $6.34 billion in 24-hour trading volume.

X considers stablecoins for creator payments, possible use of USDC

Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, is reviewing whether it can use stablecoins such as Circle’s USDC to pay creator rewards, CoinPost reported. The talks are at an early stage and the payment structure, timing and final plan have not been decided, CoinDesk reported. The review comes as X ends its revenue-sharing program and prepares an Original Content Reward Program. Stablecoins are cited for cross-border speed and costs.

Cardano retests 2021 high as talk spreads about return to $3

Jure Karamarko (유레 카라마르코), founder of the Cardano-based token SongMarketCap, said ADA returning to $3 is a question of when, not if. The comments come as ADA rebounds after a prolonged downturn, rising more than 10 percent to above $0.19. Crypto market value also rose, with bitcoin and ether higher. Analysts and a forecasting platform cited patterns and projections pointing to $3 in coming years.
