South Korea’s National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee has confirmed its 2026 annual audit schedule. The audits will run from Oct. 6 to 23, starting with the Ministry of Science and ICT and including affiliated bodies such as the Postal Service and the National Science Museum. The panel will also inspect the Nuri rocket launch site at Naro Space Center and hold audits for media regulators, the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, the Korea Aerospace Administration and multiple ICT public institutions.

Korea Aerospace Administration to hold Space Science Day to cheer Nuri 5th launch
The National Gwacheon Science Museum and the Korea Aerospace Administration will hold \"To Space! Space Science Day\" on Sept. 19, they said on Sunday. The event is intended to wish for the success of the Nuri rocket\'s fifth launch and to raise public interest in space science. Programs run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include hands-on activities, a message wall and a stamp tour, along with expert talks at the planetarium.

Nuri 5th launch one month away as final safety control drill set
South Korea\'s Korea AeroSpace Administration will conduct a comprehensive final inspection drill for launch safety control at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province. The drill, involving 12 agencies including government, military, police and local authorities, will test personnel and vehicle control around the center, sea and air traffic restrictions along the launch path, resident evacuations and emergency response systems. Scenarios include drones, unauthorized entries, abnormal launches and incidents such as fire, oil spills and terrorism.
