South Korea\'s financial sector has entered the first-quarter earnings season, with non-interest income and non-bank units driving diverging results among major financial holding companies. KB Financial Group, Shinhan Financial Group and Hana Financial Group posted record results, while Woori Financial Group recorded a decline. Strong stock markets lifted securities firms\' earnings, and new savings and investment products were launched. NH NongHyup Financial Q1 net profit up 21.7 percent to 868.8 billion won
NH NongHyup Financial Group said on Thursday its first-quarter net profit rose 21.7 percent from a year earlier to 868.8 billion won. By affiliate, NH NongHyup Bank posted 557.7 billion won, NH Investment & Securities 475.7 billion won, and NongHyup Life and General Insurance 67.1 billion won. Net interest income rose 7.3 percent to 2.11 trillion won and non-interest income climbed 51.3 percent to 903.6 billion won.

NH Nonghyup Bank signs MOU with Vietnam\'s Agribank on digital agricultural finance
NH Nonghyup Bank said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam\'s Agribank in Hanoi on April 22 for strategic cooperation on digital agricultural finance. The cooperation includes building an integrated farming and finance platform, a card-based overseas remittance service and card products linked to K-content. The two sides will also cooperate related to Agribank\'s privatisation. NH Nonghyup Bank plans joint development based on features of its NH Oneul Nongsa platform.
