Tether, Gnosis co-lead seed investment in mobile crypto wallet Sorted
Tether and Gnosis co-led a seed round for Sorted Wallet, a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet for mobile devices in emerging markets. The round totalled $4.4 million, with Tether and Gnosis investing $3.4 million in equity. Other participants included Movement, AngelInvestGroup and individual angel investors such as founders of RWA.io. Sorted plans to use the funding to expand in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia and strengthen integrations with mobile carriers.

More than two-thirds of countries are below the total fertility rate of 2.1 needed to maintain population. The decline is appearing in both advanced and developing countries, and researchers say economic conditions and housing costs alone cannot explain the simultaneous drop. Studies link earlier and steeper declines to regions where mobile internet spread quickly.

LG Electronics runs clean water and laundry support campaign in Nigeria
LG Electronics said on Tuesday it carried out a social contribution campaign in Nigeria to support residents in underdeveloped areas with free laundry services and drinking water facilities. The campaign took place in two locations, the Aba area of Abia state and the Owerri area of Imo state. LG Electronics installed drinking water facilities that drill and filter groundwater using solar energy and operated a mobile free laundry room equipped with washers, dryers and laundry supplies.
