Nota posts Q1 operating loss of 4.19 billion won, narrows 4.1 percent on year
Nota, an artificial intelligence lightweighting and optimization technology company, said on May 18 it posted first-quarter consolidated revenue of 3.58 billion won and an operating loss of 4.19 billion won. Revenue rose 5,240 percent from a year earlier and the operating loss narrowed 4.1 percent. Solution revenue accounted for 76 percent of sales. The company said its order backlog rose to 12.1 billion won, led by its platform business.

Nota, Mobillint sign AI optimisation technology supply deal
AI model compression company Nota said on Wednesday it signed a contract to supply AI optimisation technology to NPU specialist Mobillint. Under the agreement, Mobillint will license Nota’s AI model optimisation platform, NetsPresso, for its NPU product lineup. The companies plan to jointly pursue integrated hardware-software solutions in edge-based video AI markets including industrial safety, intelligent transport systems, smart cities and security monitoring.

Nota joins K-Moonshot project to cooperate on physical AI commercialisation
AI model optimisation firm Nota said on Wednesday it has joined the government-led K-Moonshot project and will pursue technology cooperation to commercialise physical AI. It participated in a public-private cooperation signing ceremony a day earlier alongside 33 AI and ICT companies including LG AI Research, SK Telecom, Naver Cloud and KT. Nota will collaborate on on-device AI using its NetsPresso platform and provide optimisation and model slimming so domestic AI models can run on various Korean NPUs.
