Naver union pushes ahead with group bargaining, corporate liability scope in focus

Naver\'s labor union is moving to pursue group bargaining that would place wage and labor contract talks for the company and its affiliates under a single framework. The push follows a revised labor law that broadens bargaining responsibility to entities that substantially control working conditions. The union plans to unveil joint agendas on Aug. 20 and demand talks by month-end. Legal experts said liability must be assessed by issue, not automatically across all affiliates.
