Toss Bank launches \'Check Your Business Income Ranking\' for sole proprietors

Toss Bank on June 8 launched a service for sole proprietors called \'Check Your Business Income Ranking\'. It allows users to see where their business income ranks among similar sole proprietors by industry, the owner’s age and years in business. Rankings are based on business income listed on National Tax Service income certificates. Results are shown in percentile bands, and users can also view estimated income needed to reach higher tiers.

MSIT holds joint briefing on 10 AI projects for livelihoods, to roll out services sequentially

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Thursday it will hold a joint briefing in Seoul on its \"10 AI projects for livelihoods\" to quickly introduce services people can experience in daily life. The projects span consumer life, public convenience and social safety, and involve 10 ministries and agencies and participating companies. The ministry plans to sequentially launch 4 services within 2026 and start the remaining 6 projects in the first half of 2027.

PIPC fines Interior Ministry, Rural Development Administration over personal data leaks

South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission decided on May 27 to impose fines and penalties on four public institutions and one contractor for violating the Personal Information Protection Act. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety was sanctioned over multiple leak incidents tied to Government24 services and delayed notification. The Rural Development Administration and affiliated bodies were penalised after a hacker stole about 575,000 records from a contractor’s NAS and posted them on the dark web.
