Hitachi to roll out Claude to 290,000 employees in full AI alliance with Anthropic
Hitachi has signed a strategic partnership with Anthropic to introduce generative AI such as Claude across business processes for about 290,000 group employees. It plans to boost internal productivity while strengthening its HMAX by Hitachi social-infrastructure solutions. Hitachi will first apply AI internally as “Customer Zero” and then reflect its experience in customer offerings. The partners will also collaborate on cybersecurity and set up a global delivery organisation.

EU discusses access to OpenAI\'s GPT-5.5-Cyber model, Anthropic\'s Mythos not yet
The European Union is discussing access to OpenAI\'s GPT-5.5-Cyber cybersecurity model, while Anthropic has not made Mythos available to the EU, CNBC reported, citing the European Commission. Commission spokesman Thomas Regnier welcomed OpenAI\'s transparency and its intention to provide access to the new model. He said talks have already taken place and more discussions are planned this week to monitor deployment and address security concerns.

Japan AI latecomer starts counterattack with Nvidia, SoftBank, Microsoft big tech alliance
Japanese companies are expanding cooperation with global big tech to strengthen artificial intelligence competitiveness. Station Ai is running an AI Boost Program with SoftBank and Nvidia to support five startups, offering free access to high-performance GPUs and engineering help. Microsoft plans to invest 1.6 trillion yen in Japan from 2026 to 2029. SoftBank, NEC, Honda and Sony Group will set up a joint venture to develop foundation models, while the government plans 1 trillion yen in support.
