Western Union\'s USDPT supported for trading on Bybit, expanding stablecoin strategy
Crypto exchange Bybit has begun supporting Western Union’s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDPT. The link marks USDPT’s first entry into a major crypto exchange and expands its use beyond payments to trading and transfers. The companies said USDPT can now be held, traded and sent on Bybit. USDPT was launched in May, issued by Western Union Digital with reserves held at Anchorage Digital Bank, and initially issued on Solana.

MoneyGram expands blockchain payments through partnership with Tempo
MoneyGram is working with payments-focused blockchain Tempo to support stablecoin payments and verification of remittance transactions, Cointelegraph reported on Tuesday. Stripe plans to use Tempo infrastructure to settle MoneyGram transactions, the report said, describing the move as part of efforts to shift finance and payment flows to stablecoin-based rails. Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain developed by Stripe and Paradigm.

Kraken teams up with MoneyGram to expand crypto cash withdrawals, supporting over 100 countries
Crypto exchange Kraken will launch a service with global remittance company MoneyGram that allows users to convert cryptocurrency into local currency and withdraw cash through MoneyGram’s offline network. The service will start in the United States and expand to parts of Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The partnership covers more than 100 countries and supports hundreds of local currencies. Kraken is also preparing for an IPO.
