Naver Cloud said on Tuesday that its AI work collaboration platform Naver Works ranked first for nine straight months among major collaboration tools in South Korea, based on key mobile indicators including user numbers and total time spent. MobileIndex data showed Naver Works led eight major domestic collaboration tools from January to September in monthly users, active devices and total usage time.

South Korea is moving toward legislation that would impose specific duties on operators of generative AI chatbots popular with teenagers, including age verification, parental consent and limits on use. A parliamentary committee has referred a related amendment to a subcommittee, and a government panel has voiced support for the bill’s intent and the need for detailed protections. The proposal would expand protections to all minors and set requirements for restricting use, providing conversation records and responding to risk reports.
