New York, Wyoming streamline reviews of crypto firms, step up regulatory cooperation

Financial regulators in the U.S. states of New York and Wyoming have agreed to cooperate more closely in overseeing cryptocurrency companies. The New York State Department of Financial Services and the Wyoming Division of Banking signed a memorandum of understanding covering licensing, examinations and enforcement. The deal includes sharing review materials and past examination data, coordinating inspection schedules and pursuing joint examinations. Some firms may qualify for an expedited review track, with a target decision within 6 months.

Toss expands finance for self-employed with Jeju Bank sole listing of owner credit loan

Viva Republica, operator of Toss, is expanding its loan comparison service for sole proprietors through a partnership with Jeju Bank. Under a strategic business agreement, Jeju Bank\'s self-employed loan product, based on its small-business credit scoring system, will be listed exclusively on Toss among loan comparison platforms. The companies also plan to gradually apply Toss Score to Jeju Bank\'s loan screening process.

Digital Asset expands cooperation with Shinhan, Hanwha, targets onchain shift in South Korea finance

U.S. blockchain infrastructure company Digital Asset is expanding cooperation with South Korean financial firms including Shinhan Financial Group and Hanwha Investment & Securities. Co-founder and CEO Yuval Rooz called South Korea an interesting market for moving traditional finance onchain. Shinhan has stepped up governance participation and investment tied to the Canton Network, while Hanwha completed a strategic investment after signing an MOU. Digital Asset is also pursuing Canton Network use aligned with Korean regulations.
