Mistral steps up enterprise AI push in South Korea, begins hiring technical staff
French AI startup Mistral is accelerating its push into the South Korean market and has begun recruiting technical staff in Seoul, according to its hiring page. The company is seeking full-time applied scientists and research engineers for its solutions division. The roles include developing and applying advanced AI models across text, image and voice data, supporting training and deployment on large GPU clusters, and working with clients on complex research projects.

Mistral unveils 1-trillion-parameter open-weight model Mistral Large 4
French AI startup Mistral has unveiled a new open-weight AI model, Mistral Large 4, with 1 trillion parameters. Mistral said the model is among the world’s top open-weight models, with strengths in cyber, manufacturing, finance and multimodal tasks, while acknowledging it still lags frontier models in some areas such as coding. The company plans a preview rollout before a broader release in late October.
