Foreigners sell more than 100 trillion won of South Korean stocks this year, net sellers for fifth month

Foreign investors net sold 47.0 trillion won of South Korean listed shares in May, extending net selling to five consecutive months, the Financial Supervisory Service said on Thursday. Net selling in the January to May period totalled 114.2 trillion won. Despite the heavy sales, foreigners’ holdings rose to 2,852.3 trillion won at end-May, and their share of total market capitalisation hit a record 35.3 percent as prices of heavily held stocks climbed.

SBI cuts XRP trading fees by 78 percent, targets Japan leverage demand

SBI VC Trade, a unit of Japan cryptocurrency exchange group SBI, temporarily lowered the standard spread for XRP/JPY leveraged trading to 0.5 yen. The measure runs from June 22 to July 3 and aims to encourage Japanese retail investors to take part in leverage trading by reducing costs. SBI said the new spread is about 78 percent lower than its average XRP/JPY spread in May 2026 and will also be offered at SBI FX Trade.
