iPhone Pro base model price rises 20 percent in seven years
Apple\'s iPhone Pro base model price rose $200 over seven years, increasing from $999 in 2019 to $1,199 in 2026, based on the base Pro model each year. Engadget reported that prices rose across the iPhone lineup this year, beyond a $1,999 foldable model. The comparison also notes larger storage and hardware upgrades, alongside rising memory and component costs, as factors cited behind the price increase.

Utexo to relaunch bitcoin-based USDT
Blockchain startup Utexo plans to put Tether\'s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDT back on the Bitcoin network. It aims to unveil an RGB protocol-based version on Nov. 28. Utexo plans to support private transfers and attach the Lightning Network in the first quarter of 2027 for faster payments. The structure requires locking USDT0 on Arbitrum and minting an equal amount on Bitcoin, leaving security dependent on the bridge.

Ford says new EV drivetrain is about 30 percent more efficient than BYD
Ford Motor says a new electric-vehicle drivetrain used on its new Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform is about 30 percent more efficient than BYD products. The company aims to cut battery size and manufacturing costs to compete in the low-priced EV market. The first model using UEV will be the Fathom midsize electric pickup due in 2027, with a base price of $28,350. Ford did not disclose comparison conditions.
