Charles Hoskinson calls Ethereum staking structure a mess, says Cardano is better

Charles Hoskinson (찰스 호스킨슨), CEO of Input Output Global and founder of Cardano, criticised Ethereum\'s proof-of-stake staking design, saying it forces unnecessary complexity on users. He pointed to lockups, slashing risk, bonding periods and reliance on liquid staking derivatives such as Lido. Hoskinson said Cardano lets ADA holders earn staking rewards through delegation without locking up assets while keeping token control. He has also criticised the Ethereum Foundation over proposals he says echo Cardano\'s EUTXO model.

Anchorage Digital adds support for Lido liquid staking protocol

Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered U.S. crypto bank, has added support for Ethereum liquid staking protocol Lido. The integration gives institutional clients direct access on Anchorage’s platform to Lido’s wrapped staked ether token, wstETH. Clients can connect to Lido’s decentralised application to mint and burn wstETH, and can use Anchorage custody and governance controls. Anchorage’s CEO said the move addresses operational and security hurdles for large investors.

Real-utility tokens gain attention as Grayscale names potential Clarity Act beneficiaries

As debate in the U.S. Congress over the Clarity bill advances, crypto application tokens that generate actual fee revenue are being reassessed. Grayscale said tokens tied to on-chain trading, lending and staking could benefit if a federal regulatory framework reduces uncertainty for digital assets and related firms. It highlighted Hyperliquid in trading and also cited projects including PancakeSwap, Jupiter, Aerodrome, Raydium, Pump.fun, Aave, Sky and World Liberty Financial, while noting valuation and fee-distribution limits.
