Webtoons look for breakthrough in short-form as growth slows and battle for attention intensifies

Dexter enters short drama post-production market
Comprehensive content company Dexter Studio said on Wednesday it has entered the short drama post-production market. It recently took part in digital intermediate (DI) color grading for the Lezhin Snack original short drama series \"A Child\'s Dad Is My Male Friend.\" The project marks the first case of Dexter\'s DI division joining short drama post-production. DI is a key process used to complete a video\'s emotion and mood.

KT Studio Genie says 2 short-form dramas rank No. 1 on global platforms
KT Studio Genie said its short-form dramas \"The Janitor\'s Second Marriage\" and \"Jamanchu Clubhouse,\" released in January, ranked No. 1 in popularity on DramaBox and ReelShort. The company said the results show its long-form drama planning and storytelling capabilities also work for short-form content. It is preparing a short-form business strategy for global expansion, aims to release 56 original short-form dramas a year, and has built distribution links with multiple global and domestic platforms.
