Lam Research Korea said on Feb. 26 it obtained a health-friendly company certification and was selected as an outstanding company for a commendation from the health and welfare minister, citing recognition of its employee health management system. The certification is granted after an assessment of systems, organisational culture and performance. The company said it has preventive programmes for cerebrocardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases, runs health-promotion activities for all staff and supports community-linked initiatives.

Lam Research Manufacturing Korea said on Thursday it will hire about 100 manufacturing operations technicians to handle assembly and testing of semiconductor equipment. The company said the hiring follows Lam Research’s procurement in South Korea surpassing 1 trillion won last year and is aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing activity this year as a long-term investment. Applicants must be high school graduates or above, with applications due by 5 p.m. on Feb. 12.
