Lam Research Korea said on March 23 it was selected as a parent company for the 2026 large and small company safety and health win-win cooperation programme overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. It will form a consortium with five semiconductor equipment service partners and work with them to raise on-site safety and health standards. Under the programme, the government provides technical and financial support when a parent company with 100 or more employees forms a consortium with partners and local small and medium-sized firms to carry out safety and health improvement activities.

Lam Research Korea formed a consortium this year with five partners that install and maintain equipment at semiconductor manufacturing sites: U&I Net, Inspro, Aist, GT and B2B Engineering. It plans to roll out phased activities to check and prevent in advance hazardous and risk factors that may arise during equipment transport, installation and inspections.

Lam Research Korea was selected as a "representative excellent partner" in a 2025 win-win cooperation programme hosted by Samsung Electronics, and in February 2026 it jointly received a "certificate of selection as an excellent company" from the labor minister. The company said operational know-how built up as a partner is underpinning its role as a parent company.

Lam Research Korea plans to share global experience based on its environment, health and safety (EHS) policy with its partners. Participating companies will form a "large and small company safety and health win-win consultative body" and pursue activities including strengthening the execution of risk assessments, on-site safety checks, and identifying and improving near-miss incidents.

Park Jun-hong (박준홍), head of Lam Research Korea in South Korea, said, "Based on the successful experience we built as a partner company last year, it is very meaningful that this year we will realise the value of win-win cooperation as a parent company." He said the company would actively share Lam Research's accumulated safety know-how with domestic partners and, over the long term, build a safety and health cooperation ecosystem that boosts overall competitiveness across South Korea's semiconductor equipment service industry.
