Hanwha Q CELLS to supply Korean-made modules for South Korea\'s largest 400 MW solar project
Hanwha Q CELLS said on May 21 it will supply Korean-made solar cells and modules to Korea South-East Power for what it called the largest solar power project ever at a single site in South Korea. Korea South-East Power plans to build a 400 MW solar plant on about 4.79 square km in Haenam, South Jeolla Province, aiming for completion in June 2028. About 640,000 modules using cells produced in South Korea will be installed.

Samsung Electronics adds 3-year option to Galaxy Subscription Club
Samsung Electronics on Feb. 23 said it will upgrade its New Galaxy AI Subscription Club and introduce a new 3-year plan for customers buying unlocked Galaxy S series models. The 3-year plan costs 8,900 won a month and includes 36 months of Samsung Care Plus loss and damage coverage, with a 25 percent residual value guarantee upon return after 3 years. The company also added compensation for cyber financial crimes and online shopping fraud.

Synology launches Korea business division, appoints Victor Wang to lead
Storage company Synology said on Jan. 27 it has officially launched a Korea business division by separating its Korea team, previously under its international business unit. Synology appointed Victor Wang to lead the new division. The company said it has maintained average double-digit revenue growth in South Korea, with faster growth in B2B. It plans to build a more systematic local operating structure and strengthen local decision-making and execution.
