Samsung Electronics said cumulative membership of its official education discount mall, Galaxy Campus, for students and teachers has surpassed 1 million people. It comes about 5 years after the service began in January 2021. Galaxy Campus is an education-focused platform offering product discounts, usage tips, a dedicated community and member events.

Galaxy Campus started in 2021 as a discount mall for university students and university staff. It later expanded eligibility to high school students in 2022 and to elementary, middle and high school teachers in early 2025. University students made up about 80 percent of members, the largest share, followed by high school students. Members were heavily concentrated among teens and people in their 20s.

The most frequently purchased product categories were smartphones, wearables such as watches and buds, tablets and PCs, in that order. Pre-orders on Galaxy Campus of the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 both increased from the previous models. It said this is analysed as having contributed to expanding Galaxy awareness among teens and people in their 20s.

Galaxy Campus offers Galaxy products across 18 categories, including smartphones, PCs, tablets, wearables and accessories, at discounts of up to 64 percent. It produces and provides its own content, including "Galaxy Tips" on learning methods using Galaxy AI and "Galaxy Teacher Tips" introducing Galaxy products and AI features that teachers can use for classes. It is also running participatory community events, including study certification using AI and teachers' written accounts of using AI.

Samsung Electronics prepared various events to mark surpassing 1 million members. It is running a "1 million celebration comment event" through Jan. 31. It will give Baedal Minjok gift certificates to members who leave comments such as memorable moments on Galaxy Campus, selected by lottery. Linked to the "Galaxy AI Academy" promotion, it will also give, by lottery, a Galcams scholarship worth 1,000,000 won or a Twosome Place mobile coupon to customers who apply for an event after purchasing a promotional product.
