OpenAI to supply ChatGPT Enterprise to all Samsung Electronics employees
OpenAI will supply ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to support work innovation and companywide AI transformation at Samsung Electronics, it said on Sunday. The rollout covers all Samsung employees in South Korea and all employees worldwide in its Device eXperience (DX) division. Samsung plans to use the tools across software development, marketing, product development and manufacturing. OpenAI said more than 5 million people use Codex weekly and its weekly active users in South Korea have surged since Feb. 1, 2026.

Mineral prices and rules boost profits in battery recycling
A sharp rise in lithium prices has helped restore the economics of used battery recycling, lifting margins for processes that extract metals from black mass. The supply structure is also shifting as first-generation electric vehicles begin reaching end-of-life, increasing the share of metals recovered from batteries after use. Regulations in the European Union and incentives under the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act are supporting demand by requiring or encouraging recycled content and qualifying recycled minerals for subsidies.

KOSPI breaks through 7,000 for first time as market cap tops 6,000 trillion won
South Korea\'s benchmark KOSPI broke above 7,000 for the first time on Tuesday, and the market value of stocks listed on the main bourse topped 6,000 trillion won for the first time. At 9:56 a.m., KOSPI-listed shares were valued at 6,014.3 trillion won, about three months after first surpassing 5,000 trillion won. The rally was led by big semiconductor stocks including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
