Samsung SDS said on Wednesday it has signed contracts to supply ChatGPT Enterprise to Korea Zinc, Icraft and TmaxSoft.
Samsung SDS has secured more than 10 ChatGPT Enterprise customers across a range of industries including public, finance, manufacturing, distribution and services, including Sectanaine and Hana Tour signed in January, it said.
Korea Zinc, a non-ferrous metal smelter, has adopted ChatGPT Enterprise to embed companywide AI capabilities, including its ongoing push for an "AI-based smart smelter," the company said. It plans to implement a companywide AI framework that meets security standards to strengthen protection of key internal information. It also plans to accumulate process and technical know-how as internal data to boost competitiveness in smelting technology.
A Korea Zinc official said, "Through this introduction of ChatGPT Enterprise, we will advance our AI-based knowledge management system, enhance competitiveness in smelting technology and create sustained innovation results."
Icraft, which specialises in AI infrastructure design and implementation, has adopted ChatGPT Enterprise to maximise work efficiency in its engineer-led organisation and accelerate digital innovation. Through strategic consulting from Samsung SDS, it plans to improve individual employee productivity, identify AI use cases by department and roll them out across the company. It also plans to step up AI-based work innovation and strengthen digital competitiveness across the organisation.
Ji-soo Park (박지수), head of Icraft's Management Innovation TF, said, "This adoption is a strategic choice to further advance our capabilities as an AI specialist company, beyond simply improving work productivity, and we will prove our differentiated AI expertise in the external market based on internal innovation."
TmaxSoft, which has applied generative AI to its product development process since 2024, has recently adopted ChatGPT Enterprise, enabling it to build an AI-based development environment with strengthened security. TmaxSoft, which has declared a leap to become a "global AI business platform company", plans to step up development of new AI and cloud-native products as it secures a safer, companywide AI usage environment.
Ki-eun Park (박기은), vice president and head of research at TmaxSoft, said, "Based on Samsung SDS capabilities, OpenAI's technological strengths and a trustworthy AI usage environment, we will fully advance an AI-centered development system and continue to pursue R&D innovation."
Samsung SDS has provided customised AX transformation strategies beyond simply supplying licences since it was selected last December as an official reseller partner for OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise. ChatGPT Enterprise is a corporate service with a security structure designed to prevent internal company data from being used for AI training, along with enhanced management functions.
Samsung SDS is building an end-to-end AX framework based on its "One-Team" support system spanning AI consulting, development and operations, and cloud and security. It provides integrated support across the entire process, from initial strategy building to AI full-stack design, deployment and companywide rollout, and operational advancement.
It also runs an initial support program called "Bootcamp". Bootcamp is a pre-deployment program that consists of a 1-month free trial and 3 days of dedicated support. Through it, customers can systematically check essential elements for adopting ChatGPT Enterprise, including security, system environment and directions for use.
Jung-hun Lee (이정헌), vice president and head of strategic marketing at Samsung SDS, said, "ChatGPT Enterprise supply is expanding rapidly as Samsung SDS's technological capabilities, security reliability and industry understanding are being comprehensively recognised." He said, "As the top AX partner redefining how companies work around AI, Samsung SDS will set a new standard in the domestic market."
