Kiwoom Securities awards 102 million won in scholarships to 51 university students
Kiwoom Securities has awarded scholarships to help university students from socially disadvantaged groups continue their studies. The company said it provided a total of 102 million won to 51 students. The Korea Student Aid Foundation selected 51 high-achieving students and will provide each with a 2 million won living-expense scholarship. A total of 6,475 applicants applied, a competition ratio of about 127 to 1.

Wiseapp finds teens use learning apps most, people in their 50s favour home shopping
Wiseapp-Retail said on March 31 it analysed the share of users by age group for major mobile apps and found different preferences by age as of February 2026. Users under their teens showed higher use of learning and gaming apps. People in their 20s focused on university, job preparation and content. Those in their 30s used career and self-management apps, while users in their 40s favoured child-related and everyday services. Home shopping apps ranked high among people in their 50s.

Shinhan Bank named top institution and best case in FSS new financial products awards
Shinhan Bank on Jan. 29 is selected as both an outstanding institution and an outstanding case at the Financial Supervisory Service’s seventh awards for new financial products promoting mutual growth and cooperation. It is recognised for its Shinhan Youth Financial Support Package and its Shinhan Ttaenggyeoyo interest-subsidy loan for local small merchants. The youth package has provided 8.9 billion won in support to about 100,000 young customers.
