Raonsecure selected for 2026 government blockchain specialised university support project
Raonsecure said on Wednesday it has been selected as a project operator for the 2026 blockchain specialised university and graduate school support programme promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. The company will run a University Hub to provide shared blockchain infrastructure for Seoul Women\'s University, Konyang University and Hansei University. It plans to offer a joint practice environment and XR content via its unit Raonmeta\'s Metademy platform.

MSIT to support blockchain specialised universities with industry-linked programmes
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency selected two consortia to run the 2026 blockchain specialised university support programme. The initiative will provide 700 million won in government funding this year and may support selected consortia for up to four years after performance reviews. Participating universities will offer specialised curricula for undergraduates and graduate students, and run industry-based projects, internships, competitions and overseas exchanges.

Konyang University team unveils Veritra, Korean digital identity full stack that passed OIDF conformance
A research team led by professor Seung-wook Jeong (정승욱) of Konyang University’s Department of Smart Security has unveiled Veritra, an SSI-based digital identity issuance and verification full stack that passed international standards conformance checks. The team said it supports both the EU’s EUDI Wallet requirements due by end-2026 and Korea’s mobile ID. It passed OpenID Foundation conformance for SD-JWT-VC and mdoc (ISO/IEC 18013-5).
