AI security and authentication platform company RaonSecure said on Tuesday it signed a business agreement with Konyang University’s Glocal project task force to cooperate on a digital identity verification project.

The core of the agreement is to combine RaonSecure’s blockchain and information security technologies with the government’s Glocal University initiative to expand digital authentication systems across the campus and local community.

RaonSecure will build a digital authentication platform linking student learning activities, qualification acquisition and practical use. Through OmniOne Digital ID, it plans to streamline student ID checks and certificate issuance. It also plans to use OmniOne Badge to manage learning histories, including extracurricular activities, as verifiable competency data.

It will also significantly expand authentication coverage. It will issue DID preliminary acceptance certificates to international students to assign affiliation before they enter the country. It will also offer convenient authentication benefits to faculty, staff and local residents to create an ecosystem in which the university and the region coexist.

RaonSecure will gradually introduce a sustainable self-reliant business model even after government support ends, considering the Glocal University initiative will be pursued for 10 years. Through this, it plans to identify talent development and recruitment models linked to universities, local companies and public institutions.

Lee Jeong-a (이정아), chief executive of RaonSecure, said, "This cooperation will be a turning point where universities’ learning outcomes are systematically digitised and authentication leads to use." She added, "We will contribute to fostering local talent and expanding an innovation ecosystem centred on the Web3 ecosystem."
