Dunamu, Bithumb formalise IPO plans, differ on timing and approach
Dunamu, operator of Upbit, and rival Bithumb held annual shareholder meetings on Monday and formalised plans to pursue initial public offerings. Dunamu said it would push ahead with an IPO as soon as its merger with Naver Financial is completed, while Bithumb said it would strengthen internal controls through 2027 before seeking a listing. Bithumb shareholders also raised issues including a recent bitcoin mispayment and a Financial Intelligence Unit fine.

KT overhauls organisation, cuts executive ranks about 30 percent to focus on renewal and efficiency
KT said on Monday it will carry out a 2026 organisational overhaul and executive appointments to become South Korea\'s top AX platform company. It said the changes focus on personnel renewal, improving management efficiency and strengthening field management centred on customer service and quality. KT said it will replace department heads reporting to the CEO, cut executive-level organisations by about 30 percent, integrate security functions and reorganise AI R&D.
