K Bank offers 0.3 percentage point preferential rate on Plus Box
K Bank is offering interest-rate benefits to customers managing short-term funds as demand for parking accounts rises amid growing investment standby funds. The bank said on June 11 it will run an event providing an annual 0.3 percentage point preferential-rate coupon to Plus Box customers. Participants can join via the K Bank app without conditions. Preferential-rate tiers depend on each customer’s Plus Box balance as of June 10, with new account holders eligible up to 10 million won.

K Bank to start applications for high oil price relief payments on April 27
K Bank said it will accept first-round applications for the government’s high oil price relief payments in its app starting April 27. The support policy is aimed at easing household burdens stemming from rising international oil prices and higher living costs. Payments will range from 100,000 won to a maximum of 600,000 won per person depending on income level and area of residence. Applications will be expanded to the bottom 70 percent of income earners from May 18.

K Bank launches 10th anniversary campaign and promotions
K Bank said on Tuesday it will run a brand campaign and customer appreciation promotions to mark its 10th anniversary. Founded after establishing a preparatory corporation on Jan. 7, 2016, it is South Korea’s first internet-only bank. It said it has launched services including a fully non-face-to-face apartment mortgage loan, a real-name account partnership with a virtual asset exchange and a real estate secured loan for sole proprietors.
