Taiko resumes bridge after $1.7 million exploit, says it reimbursed users in full

Ethereum layer2 Taiko has resumed a bridge it halted after a $1.7 million exploit and normalised network operations 11 days later. It reopened cross-network fund transfers after replenishing asset collateral and completing security fixes. Taiko said it finished the final step of a four-stage recovery plan and that users can again move funds in and out of the network. It said losses suffered by affected users were fully reimbursed.

EMURGO, Cardano co-founding body, outlines plan to recover $2.4 million after wallet hack

EMURGO, a co-founding organisation of the Cardano blockchain, said it has found a way to return assets stolen in the SecondFi wallet hack within about two weeks. CEO Phillip Pon said it completed a forensic review, verified wallet balances and identified a clear recovery solution. SecondFi reported four outflows between June 21 and 23, including three thefts totalling 16 million ADA and an emergency transfer of 129 million ADA.

DraftKings launches its own prediction market exchange DKeX

DraftKings has launched its own prediction market exchange, DKeX, The Block reported on Thursday. The company said the launch increases its control over content depth, operating efficiency and the overall customer experience, allowing it to innovate faster. DKeX uses technology from Railbird Technologies, a CFTC-licensed firm DraftKings acquired in October 2025. DraftKings said the prediction market segment posted annualised consumer trading volume of about $3.4 billion and annualised total volume of about $11.3 billion as of June 21.
