Arbitrum, Optimism, Base rebut Vitalik criticism of Layer 2 scaling model
Major Ethereum Layer 2 developers including Optimism, Arbitrum and Base have responded after Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin raised doubts about the Layer 2 scaling model, Cointelegraph reported on Tuesday. Buterin said Layer 2 can no longer be key to Ethereum scaling, citing reliance on multisig bridges and security concerns. Developers argued Layer 2 remains important even if the mainnet scales and highlighted throughput and feature upgrades.
