OpenAI adds personal finance tools to ChatGPT, connects more than 12,000 financial accounts

OpenAI has rolled out a preview version of personal finance tools for U.S. ChatGPT Pro subscribers, TechCrunch reported. Users can link bank and brokerage accounts and ask ChatGPT questions ranging from spending analysis to future financial planning. The feature works on the web and iOS and uses Plaid to connect accounts at more than 12,000 institutions. Users can also disconnect accounts and have synced data deleted within 30 days.

Tech Insight: No SaaSpocalypse; AI is good for the software industry

Anxiety that AI will erase the enterprise software market has pushed a listed software company ETF down 30 percent since early 2026, wiping out gains since ChatGPT’s launch. Shares of major firms including Salesforce and Adobe fell 25 to 30 percent in weeks, fuelling “SaaSpocalypse” talk. Andreessen Horowitz partners Alex Immerman (알렉스 이머만) and Santiago Rodriguez (산티아고 로드리게스) said the thesis misunderstands what software companies sell and argued AI can expand the industry even as some firms fall away.

Figma teams up with Anthropic to turn AI code into editable designs

Figma has collaborated with Anthropic to introduce a “Code to Canvas” feature that converts AI-generated code into designs that can be edited in Figma, CNBC reported on Feb. 17. The tool imports code created by AI coding tools such as Claude Code into Figma’s canvas. Figma says AI collaboration can increase the value of design by allowing teams to modify and compare AI-made interfaces and make design decisions more quickly.
