MSIT to overhaul AI Hub to cut duplication, improve quality of public AI training data

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will build a government-wide integrated management system to address duplicated construction and weak quality control of public-sector AI training data. The ministry will overhaul the current AI Hub into an integrated provision system so public institutions can check in advance whether planned datasets overlap with existing ones. It will also introduce pilot operations this year and distribute quality and build-use guides to ministries, local governments and public bodies.

XRP Ledger shifts focus from payments to stablecoin infrastructure

An assessment has emerged that XRP Ledger (XRPL) is shifting its center of gravity from a payments-focused blockchain to a stablecoin trading network. Jim Faraioli, head of crypto research at U.S. securities firm Charles Schwab, said major blockchains are becoming specialized as the crypto industry reshapes. He cited RLUSD supply data showing XRPL’s RLUSD supply in June slightly exceeded Ethereum’s, supporting the view of a stablecoin-centered evolution.

Samsung SDS AI collaboration tool Brity Works adopted by nine central government ministries

Samsung SDS said on Aug. 13 that nine central government ministries, including the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Financial Services Commission and the Overseas Koreans Agency, will adopt its AI collaboration solution Brity Works. The ministries are set to start the service sequentially by August. Samsung SDS provides Brity Works as the official collaboration tool for the government’s OnAI platform.
