Red Hat unveils Red Hat AI 3.4 with up to three times faster inference, expands space and auto ties
Red Hat announced new products and partnerships across enterprise AI platforms, space computing and software-defined vehicles at its annual Red Hat Summit 2026 conference on May 11. It highlighted the Red Hat AI 3.4 update, adding model service capabilities and speculative decoding to boost inference speed by up to three times. Red Hat also expanded cooperation with Nvidia, announced a deployment on an ISS edge micro data centre with Voyager Technologies, and unveiled a joint initiative with Nissan.

Pressure mounts for governance overhaul as financial holdings brace for AGM season
Major South Korean financial holding companies are on edge ahead of regular annual general meetings this month as financial authorities press for governance overhauls, including improved CEO reappointment procedures and stronger board independence. Reappointment votes for several chairmen, outside director appointments and articles-of-association changes are on agendas. Shareholder-return plans, including using capital reserves for dividends, will also be voted on. A debate over adopting a shareholder-nominated director system has also emerged.

Institutional Shareholder Services has recommended votes in favour of all agenda items at Hana Financial Group\'s 2026 annual general meeting, including outside and inside director appointments, charter changes and approval of directors\' pay. The recommendation is seen as reflecting Hana Financial\'s efforts to improve governance and expand shareholder communication. The Supreme Court\'s January ruling confirming Chairman Ham Young-joo\'s acquittal was also cited as a factor.
