China\'s telecom carriers usher in era of AI token pricing plans

Major Chinese telecom carriers are expanding AI services by introducing \"AI tokens\" as a new billing unit alongside mobile data. China Telecom has rolled out token-based AI plans nationwide for consumers, developers and corporate clients, offering different monthly token allowances. Tokens are the basic unit for processing and generating text, code and data in generative AI. Other carriers are launching similar plans, as China’s daily token calls surge.

Mirae Asset Management AUM tops 600 trillion won; growth accelerates with ETFs, pensions and AI

Mirae Asset Management said its total assets under management reached 624 trillion won as of end-April, surpassing 600 trillion won. It attributed growth to its global ETF business, the expansion of domestic TIGER ETFs, and broader businesses including pensions, OCIO and real estate. Its Global X unit runs 747 ETFs across 13 markets. The firm is also expanding tokenised ETF offerings and reported strong growth in a semiconductor-themed TIGER ETF.

MegazoneCloud to share agentic AI strategy at AWS Summit Seoul 2026

AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud will take part in AWS Summit Seoul 2026 at COEX in Seoul from May 20 to 21 and share its strategy for using agentic AI to help companies produce tangible results. Under the theme “Your Agentic AI Advantage, Engineered for Scale,” it plans to present approaches to work automation, operational efficiency and cloud optimisation. It will also show demos with Japan’s AVITA and highlight recent AWS partner awards.
