AI tool firms\' survival rule: Sell autopilot, not copilot
Founders building AI tools worry that the next version of a foundation model could turn their products into a single feature. He frames the choice as “copilot” versus “autopilot,” saying models have become smart enough to automate many intelligence tasks. Autopilot, he says, targets larger work budgets and will spread fastest in outsourced work areas.
