Coupang launches emergency relief system using Rocket Delivery network

Coupang will use its nationwide Rocket Delivery logistics network to support disaster victims through an emergency relief system. The company said on May 14 it is launching an “Emergency Relief Coupang Hope Box” programme to deliver relief items immediately to affected residents when disasters strike. Supplies will be stored at the Sejong fulfilment centre and shipped nationwide, then handed over onsite to Peace Winds Korea for distribution to evacuees.

Coupang said acting CEO Harold Rogers visited Cheongju in North Chungcheong Province on April 8 to meet small merchants and hear views from the field. Rogers visited a grain processing company and met representatives from five small businesses in the Chungcheong region to discuss pending issues and check production sites.
