Hanwha Q Cells begins full-scale commercial validation of perovskite tandem
Hanwha Solutions\' Q Cells division, Hanwha Q Cells, said on Sunday it will take part as the lead institution in a government research and development project to develop and demonstrate tandem module technology combining perovskite and crystalline silicon. The three-year consortium research aims to demonstrate commercial-area tandem modules of at least 1.7 square metres with module efficiency of 28 percent or higher. Hanwha Q Cells will also conduct outdoor demonstrations and business feasibility analysis and targets commercialisation in 2029.

Hanwha Q CELLS to supply tandem cells for space solar power test on moon surface
Hanwha Q CELLS has entered a stage to verify whether next-generation solar cell technology can be applied in space in an actual lunar environment. Hanwha Solutions\' Q CELLS division said on Tuesday its German unit will join the NASA-backed space technology demonstration program SSTEF-1 as a project partner and provide perovskite-based tandem cell samples. Georgia Tech Research Institute will test the cells on a lunar lander surface under vacuum, extreme temperatures, ultraviolet light and space radiation.

Hanwha Q CELLS to supply Korean-made modules for South Korea\'s largest 400 MW solar project
Hanwha Q CELLS said on May 21 it will supply Korean-made solar cells and modules to Korea South-East Power for what it called the largest solar power project ever at a single site in South Korea. Korea South-East Power plans to build a 400 MW solar plant on about 4.79 square km in Haenam, South Jeolla Province, aiming for completion in June 2028. About 640,000 modules using cells produced in South Korea will be installed.
