Kim Yeon-su says Hancom has credentials for agentic OS business, highlights four strengths

Hancom is changing its corporate name to Hancom and focusing its business on AI, accelerating a shift into a sovereign agentic OS company. It plans to release a beta version in June and a customer-validated version in the second half, targeting a full launch in 2027. Hancom reborn as Hancom, declares shift to sovereign agentic OS company

Hancom, formerly known as Haansoft, set out “sovereign agentic OS” as a key term for its strategy as it transforms into an AI company. It said it aims to become a global agentic OS company that guarantees strong data sovereignty while overseeing and controlling the operation of AI agents. Hancom will change its corporate name to Hancom and end sales of its existing year-based package after Hancom Office 2024, shifting to a platform model with real-time AI upgrades.

Hancom aims to top 200 billion won in standalone annual sales this year as it shifts to AI

Hancom reported first-quarter standalone revenue of 46.5 billion won and operating profit of 17.6 billion won, up 2.4 percent and 2.7 percent from a year earlier. On a consolidated basis, revenue was 63.6 billion won and operating profit was 8.5 billion won. The company said its AI business led growth and it is targeting annual revenue of 210 billion won this year. It also plans to launch a \"twin-type agentic OS\" in the first half.
