South Korea\'s financial authorities will raise this year\'s target for the growth rate of total household loans to around 3 percent from 1.5 percent. They will expand financial support for housing supply to 47.8 trillion won plus alpha from 26.3 trillion won. The authorities will keep the basic framework of real estate lending curbs, including LTV and DSR limits, while tightening some rules on jeonse loans from January.

South Korea\'s financial authorities discussed a plan to implement limits on scraping in phases after preparing alternatives such as public MyData, aiming to reduce inconvenience for financial consumers caused by blocking by administrative bodies and the Supreme Court. The Financial Services Commission held a financial sector inspection meeting on scraping restrictions and reviewed expected impacts and response measures. Participants backed the purpose of blocking while calling for sufficient alternatives and a preparation period, and also reviewed security and internal controls used in current scraping processes.

KFTC starts review of alleged Google app market abuse over GVP contracts
South Korea\'s Fair Trade Commission has begun deliberations over allegations that Google abused its dominant position in the app market. The case focuses on GVP contracts signed with 22 major game companies from 2019 that required most-favoured terms for the Google Play Store in timing and quality, in return for support for premium services. The watchdog’s staff proposed corrective orders and a fine that could reach up to 6 percent of relevant revenue.
