President Lee Jae-myung calls for quick \'war\' budget, energy measures like vehicle rationing

President Lee Jae-myung (이재명) said South Korea should prepare measures that assume the Middle East crisis will be prolonged and consider even the worst-case scenario, citing rising tensions triggered by a U.S. attack on Iran. He called for securing additional crude oil supplies and expanding energy-saving efforts, including possible vehicle rationing. Lee also ordered a swift “war” supplementary budget to support vulnerable groups and exporting firms.
