Hana Financial Group said on Jan. 28 it held an opening ceremony on Jan. 27 with Sejong City for the "AI Digital Jobs Centre for the middle-aged" at the Government Complex Sejong BRT transfer centre.

The Sejong City AI Digital Jobs Centre for the middle-aged, created as part of Hana Financial's flagship re-employment program for middle-aged people, "Hana Power On Second Life", is set to be used as a base for AI and digital job training for the middle-aged and for creating local jobs.

For this, Hana Financial will run AI and digital job training courses suited to the middle-aged, including AI digital labeller, AI content marketer, AI instructor and AI e-commerce manager. After the training, it plans to systematically support job matching linked to local companies and related institutions.

The jobs centre is set up to provide one-stop education, hands-on training and counselling. It includes 3 classrooms, an AI and digital practice room, a community lounge, counselling booths and a rest area. Located at the Government Complex Sejong BRT transfer centre, it is expected to be convenient for middle-aged people across the Chungcheong region, including Sejong City, because of strong access by public transportation.

The opening ceremony was attended by key officials including Lee Dong-yeol (이동열), vice president of Hana Bank's Chungcheong Hana Group, Sejong Mayor Choi Min-ho (최민호) and Lee Hong-jun (이홍준), head of the Sejong Job and Economy Promotion Agency. They shared the meaning of public-private cooperation to support sustainable economic activity for the middle-aged, and also held a plaque unveiling ceremony to mark the opening.

Lee Dong-yeol, who attended the event, said he expects the centre to become a new venue of opportunity for the region's middle-aged people to challenge AI-based jobs. He said Hana Financial will continue to work with local communities and contribute to creating practical jobs so the experience and capabilities of the middle-aged can be used on an ongoing basis.
