Google unveils Playground to build browser games with text, no coding
Google has unveiled Playground, an AI platform that allows users to create browser games using only text prompts without coding. Users can choose genres or start from a blank project and describe rules, characters, environments and visual styles in natural language, then refine physics, rules and graphics through dialogue. The platform supports 2D and 3D, single- and multiplayer games, image uploads, sharing and public gallery publishing, and will later link to Unity Spark.

Google DeepMind CEO says world may be at start of singularity, renews AGI vision
Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis said the current moment could later be seen as the start of a “singularity” in the AI era. The Verge reported he made the remarks at the end of Google I/O 2026, calling it a significant moment for humanity. Hassabis linked Google’s latest AI research and products to a long-term vision for artificial general intelligence and introduced Gemini for Science tools for research support.

Google unveils cloud-based personal AI agent Gemini Spark
Google on Tuesday unveiled Gemini Spark, a personal agent that can work across a user’s digital environment and handle tasks on the user’s behalf, at its annual Google I/O developer conference. The company said Gemini Spark runs on Google Cloud infrastructure and supports various Google products. Users can email it directly via a dedicated Gmail address, interact with the web through Chrome and track progress on Android via the new Halo notifications system.
