Samsung Electronics returns to PC chip market after more than 10 years. What is it really aiming for?
Samsung Electronics is developing an AI PC chip called Gaia, marking a return to the PC chip market after more than 10 years. The effort coincides with the launch of its Galaxy Book6 Edge laptop using Qualcomm\'s Snapdragon processor. The company is discussing supplies with some PC makers and is targeting mass production as early as next year. The move comes as Qualcomm, Intel and AMD intensify competition in PC chips.

Data management company Cohesity has launched Cohesity Maestro, a product that lets users manage data protection solutions directly within Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT. According to a Techzine report dated June 17, Maestro connects the full Cohesity Data Cloud to external AI platforms through the Model Context Protocol. Users can access capabilities ranging from cyber resilience to Cohesity Gaia AI search, enabling IT teams to manage data protection without a separate Cohesity console.

Cohesity to extend enterprise AI resilience with AI workloads, evolving from backup to data insights platform
AI-based data security company Cohesity is accelerating its Enterprise AI Resilience strategy, extending data protection and security capabilities into the AI ecosystem. CEO Sanjay Poonen (산제이 푸넨) said companies need confidence they can manage AI-driven risks and recover quickly from disruptions. Cohesity said it protects AI and agent infrastructure, supports sensitive-data governance and integrates with ServiceNow and Datadog for API-based recovery. It also plans AI analytics on protected data and announced MCP-based federated semantic search and the Cohesity Gaia Catalog.
