Data management company Cohesity has launched Cohesity Maestro, which allows users to manage data protection solutions directly in Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT.
A Techzine report on June 17 said Maestro connects the full Cohesity Data Cloud to external AI platforms through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
It provides access to functions ranging from cyber resilience to Cohesity Gaia, an AI search feature. IT teams can manage data protection directly in the AI platforms without a separate Cohesity console.
Based on the open MCP standard, Maestro works with Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini without separate integration work or dedicated connectors.
Cohesity CEO Sanjay Poonen (산제이 푸넨) said, "Claude, Gemini and GPT are growing in capability by the day." He added, "Maestro provides data protection functions directly to these platforms. There is no need for a new console or workflow changes."
