Woowa Brothers said on Jan. 27 it will hold the 2026 Baemin Startup Square Ignition Day for two days from Jan. 26 at Baemin Startup Square, a venture development space inside its new Second Pangyo headquarters, together with 13 support organisations.

Baemin Startup Square is a startup support space created in part of the new headquarters building, which Baemin developed as a consortium with Soulbrain, Cosmecca Korea and HFR. It will provide a 10-year rent-free lease to resident companies and support organisations to help startups grow without the burden of rent.

Baemin signed agreements with 13 specialist partner companies in four areas by startup growth stage. In operations and accelerating, VentureSquare, Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, SparkLabs and In and Out Corporation will take part, while Qunesty, Gaia Venture Partners and Eugene Investment & Securities will participate in investment and finance. DLG Law Corporation, J Curve Law Office and IPUS Patent Law Firm will handle legal and patents, while Korea Startup Forum, Soonchunhyang University Startup Support Group and Samil PwC will be responsible for networking and education.

About 50 startups across fields including AI, food tech, eco-friendly, fintech, robots and drones, bio and content have confirmed residency, and are scheduled to complete move-in by the end of February.

Baemin Startup Square will run joint IR demo days, specialist seminars and legal consultations this year. In April, it will provide AX (AI Transformation) training and CX (Customer Experience) training, and will work with its parent company Delivery Hero to support domestic startups entering global markets such as Europe.

Baemin announced 200 billion won in social investment through its "Baemin-style promise for sustainability" in March 2024 and presented startup development as a key goal.

Kim Joong-hyun (김중현), head of Woowa Brothers' Center for Sustainable Management, said, "Beyond simply providing space, we want to build a solid development ecosystem that drives real growth together with our partner companies." He added, "We will use the Pangyo headquarters as a base camp for 'tech-based social return' and grow that vision."
