Fortytwomaru to sponsor AI, software-focused universities digital competition finals

Fortytwomaru said on Monday it will participate as a sponsor in the finals of the 2026 AI and software-focused universities digital competition, to be held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul. The event is hosted and organised by the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation and the AI and Software-focused Universities Association, with the science ministry and related companies providing support. A total of 1,088 people in 335 teams from 57 universities took part.

FortyTwoMaru to upgrade KDIC data management system, build generative AI services

FortyTwoMaru said on Tuesday it will lead the Korea Deposit Insurance Corp\'s project to upgrade its data management system and build generative AI services. The company said the project is the first-year programme under KDIC\'s three-year AI transformation roadmap and will lay core infrastructure. FortyTwoMaru formed a consortium with Klavvy and GTOne to build a public-sector AX platform combining generative AI, enterprise data assetisation and risk-management governance.

Science ministry, DAPA hold future defense technology development results event

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it held a results presentation event with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration on June 25 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event reviewed achievements from two technology development programs and discussed defense R&D directions for future battlefields with participants from the public, private and military sectors. Twelve selected projects were presented, followed by presentations and a discussion on applying advanced private technologies.
