Telecom operators\' user protection average score 873 points, down 13 points from year earlier
South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media Communications Commission said an assessment of user-protection work at 47 telecommunications operators showed overall performance fell or was flat from a year earlier. The average score for 39 companies, excluding eight pilot-assessment firms, was 873.3 points, down 13.4 points. Grades for large carriers generally declined. The regulator cited shortcomings among value-added operators and said it would withhold or delay penalty-reduction benefits for top-rated firms.

AI agent web traffic overtakes humans, raising \'dead internet\' theory question
Web traffic generated by AI agents has surpassed human traffic for the first time in the internet’s history, SiliconANGLE reported. Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince cited data from the company’s Cloudflare Radar internet tracking tool. Cloudflare said AI agent bots accounted for 57.4 percent of overall web traffic, while human traffic was 42.6 percent. Regional data showed wide variation, with bots leading in North America and humans still ahead in parts of Asia and other regions.

Ethics of AI developers also matters
In teaching AI-era ethics, discussion often focuses on users because they are the audience, even though AI systems carry bias and limits and can cause unintended harm. Responsibility is often placed on users amid gaps in understanding between developers and users. The article cites cases where automated software and algorithms reinforce discrimination and harm vulnerable groups. It also raises concerns about opaque practices inside AI firms, environmental costs of data centres, and low-paid content moderation work in developing countries.
