IBK Industrial Bank appoints Yoo Il-gwang as executive director

IBK Industrial Bank said on April 20 it appointed Yoo Il-gwang (유일광), a former vice president, as its new executive director and senior vice president. The company said Yoo has worked at the bank since 1994, holding key posts including head of the Office of Ethical Management, head of the Management Support Group and head of the Retail Banking Group. It said he advanced policies to ease financial cost burdens and strengthened staff capabilities and organisational vitality.

Namyang Dairy returns to operating profit as profitability-driven overhaul pays off

Namyang Dairy Products said on Wednesday it returned to an annual operating profit last year on a consolidated basis, posting 914.1 billion won in revenue and 5.2 billion won in operating profit. Operating profit swung from a 9.8 billion won loss a year earlier. Net profit improved to 7.1 billion won from 250 million won, while revenue grew 4 percent. The company cited a profitability-focused overhaul and announced a 31 billion won shareholder returns plan.

Kakao named top company for fourth straight year in S&P Global corporate sustainability assessment

Kakao has been named a top company for a fourth consecutive year in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, it said on Thursday. S&P Global selected 848 companies for its Sustainability Yearbook from about 9,200 firms assessed across 59 industries. Kakao scored 76 points in the interactive media, services and home entertainment sector, ranking second among 148 companies and placing in the top 5 percent.
